History

Over 125 years of precision – from watchmaking to high precision

As a supplier to the Swiss watchmaking industry, it was important for Jacques Allemann from the outset not to compromise on quality and precision right from the outset. This uncompromising approach earned the company an excellent reputation in the demanding fine wire market shortly after it was founded in 1974.

Dedicated employees who carry out their work with passion and precision are a key success factor. A systematic investment in the development of the company's in-house machinery has been and still remains decisive. Jacques Allemann has always relied on self-developed and continuously optimised manufacturing technologies. The result: products whose quality has been at the highest level for decades – and which are constantly being improved.

Today, the company can look back on more than 50 years of success and is an integral part of the NOTZgroup.

2002

Integration into the NOTZgroup

On 1 January 2002, Jacques Allemann becomes a subsidiary of NOTZgroup based in Brügg (Canton of Bern). This partnership is a win-win situation:
the NOTZgroup expands its expertise in precision wire, axles, profiles and micro-flat wire, while Jacques Allemann benefits from synergies within the group and access to its own materials laboratory. This significantly strengthens customer advice in terms of material selection and processability.

1974

Founded in Péry (Canton of Bern)

Demand for decolletage steels and high-precision fine wires grew in the 1970s. Jacques Allemann, who at the time himself worked in production at a well-known watch manufacture, recognised the potential and founded Jacques Allemann SA, a specialised fine wire drawing company in Péry in the Canton of Bern.
