The material 1.4571, designated X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2 and commercially known as AISI 316Ti, is a titanium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel. It provides excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against intergranular corrosion and aggressive environments such as chlorides and acids. Thanks to titanium stabilisation, it retains high strength and durability at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for applications in plant engineering, chemical processing, piping systems, as well as food and pharmaceutical industries. Moreover, 1.4571 combines good weldability with high toughness even at sub-zero temperatures, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding conditions.
