Material 1.3505, also designated as 100Cr6 or 100C6, is a high-carbon chromium bearing steel containing about 1.5 percent chromium. It is characterised by high hardness, excellent wear resistance and outstanding fatigue strength. After heat treatment, 1.3505 achieves very high surface hardness combined with good toughness, making it ideal for heavily loaded bearing and precision components. Typical applications include ball and roller bearings, shafts, gears, tools and components in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. With its proven combination of hardness, durability and load-bearing capacity, 1.3505 is one of the most widely used bearing steels worldwide.
