Material 1.0737, also referred to as 11SMnPb37 or S300Pb, is a manganese-alloyed free-cutting steel with lead addition for excellent machinability. It is characterised by short chips, high dimensional accuracy and superior surface finish, making it ideal for cost-efficient mass production of precision turned parts. 1.0737 has medium strength and is not intended for hardening but stands out due to its workability and productivity. Typical applications include screws, nuts, bushings, fasteners, shafts and components in the automotive, electrical and fine mechanics industries.
